We are at mile 649, slowly increasing our average mileage. Just another beautiful day hiking. Trying to lighten our load as much as possible. I think that there are going to be a lot of these days in the future, since "new" things are going to be harder to find along the trail. But I'm going to co.tinue doing these daily summaries. Maybe in the future I'll fill in these types.of days with other random musings from our wandering minds.
Oh yeah, we reached the west virginia border today, but only to traverse a ridge. We won't leave VA for good for another 400 miles or something.
Also, we saw the most egregious use of white blazes yet as we left town and were directed under a highway. I got a chuckle out of that.
