Day 160: The Carters and back to town

Last night, on top of carter, I had 4g service, so we watched an episode.of MacGyver. Lol.

Today was not.so bad. The ups and downs were way less steep, but my.knees are still killing me.

We traversed the carter range and then went up mt.moriah. very beautiful open summits with what be some of our last views of the presidentials. This morning was windy for us, so it must have been crazy on Washington. So we.timed.it.perfect.

Once at the bottom, we didn't even have to stick our thumbs oit, a man was turning around in the parking lot and asked if we needed a ride. Wow. Just amazing. He was turning around to pick up two hikers on the road, one of which was low branch, a fellow who has been around us since at least pa.

We.got.a.ride.to walmart an d.resupplied.for 5 days, hoping to make it to the second road to Andover Maine.

I'm currently in the big white van heading to the hiker hostel again for the night. Also, we are once again with bullet and smoke.

Tomorrow we might encounter rain. Not excited, but at least we have been able.to avoid it for a long long time now. I don't even remember the last time it rained on us. We skipped the storm in hanover. We skipped the storm around greylock. Wow. When was the last time it really rained on us? Maybe looking back in the blog will answer.
