The description held true today. Over a hill to a lake, walk around lake, over a hill to another lake. Though they are actually all called ponds.
We didn't even have to try too hard to make 15 miles. We even got to chill in the sun at a sandy beach for a bit, watching ducks and looking at swimming leeches. It feels strange covering that distance again. Leeches are strange too.
We hit the Kennebec ferry tomorrow morning.
