Day 44: Skip to Trail Days

Um, we didn't want to walk 22 miles to trail days, come in on friday, and maybe not find a camping spot. We had no idea what it was going to be like there and therefor wanted to get in early. Pribably a good decision. So we hitched with some riff raffers, sockless and blazer, into damascus. So after trail days, we have to hitch back to complete that section. Since this is Swards last section, she hiked it and we are saving her a tent spot. She plans to make it in on friday.

Sockless and Blazer were amazing, taking us to the grocery store.to resupply before then taking us back to tent city . I bought way too much stuff and Becca keeps making fun of me about it.

So with the full day in Damascus we walked.around not.knowing really.what to do. We ended up wanting to check out the brewery and just before we.got there realized it wasn't open for 3 more hours. Instead, we hit the grocery again for a six pack and relaxed along the river, skipping stones and trying to throw left handed. At one point a large trout swam up to the bank within 10 feet of us, so I tried to sneak up to it but ended up slipping and almost falling in. So no trout dinner tonight.

Thursday ended up being our drinking night. We met up with the riff raffers and Colonel, a fellow beer lover and sporter of a hop valley brewing hat Becca recognized, gave us some strong and delicious double IPA s, which put us over the top. We went to bed.
