We are in camp just a mile outside Damascus. Hopefully a bunch of southbound section hikers or just people who don't want to leave trail days quite yet won't come up here to party.
Our first big day back on trail, about 17 miles, takes us out of Tennessee ! 3 states down.
New things are blooming in the woods, and hopefully by the time all the rhododendrons bloom, we will still be in a region where they are dense. So far, it seems they are thinning out unfortunately. If so, we might have to go back to some sections in georgia or around max patch where they formed green tunnels. In June I bet they are amazing.
