Day 101: Poison Ivy and Magic

Slept in, but still made 16 miles today.

Its hard to feel "in" wilderness with fighter jets for flying overhead for hours, and hiking the ridgeline above the highways. But I can't really complain given our electronics we bring with us these days.

We hit some amazing trail maguc at the end of the day. as we came to last the water stop, we saw a tall well kept man, who I recognized as the captain. I was wrong on the name but right on the prrson. It was The Colonel, the Riff Raffer who we talked beer with and who gave us a ride out of trail days. This meeting was even more magical because we had tried to get in contact via Facebook at trail days, but unkowingly failed to do it correctly and we thought all was lost. Hopefully we are going to meet him at Delaware Gap now!

Then more magic in the form of a cooler of soda .

We are now on what should be called Poison ivy ridge, it's so thick it is hard to fit our tent in the flat spots.

Get to sleep!
