Crossed into Pennsylvania and over mason Dixon line. Goodbye south. We will miss your hospitality and friendly small towns. Hopefully the north is not as.rude.as.we have heard. We ha e heard PA is the worst environmentally, so it was funny to see the sign pictured below at the first stream we.crossed in the state.
Into Waynesboro for resupply and lunch at an Applebee's. Overpriced yuck, still better than rice packs. We met a fellow hiker there named Bistro, who had a line on a trail angel giving rides back to the trail.
Unfortunately the angel wasn't answering bistros text. But eventually she.did and we got a ride back at 5. We.Hiked till 8 and still almost got 12 miles for the day. Not so bad really, all things considered.
