Day 105: 1234.5 Day!

A most auspicious day indeed.

My prediction was correct, nobody else celebrates this most auspicious milestone. So we got to make the stone marker.

Now, at the shelter, I asked the incoming hikers if they noticed our most auspicious marker. They did not. We are indeed auspicious in our own right.

Inigo: "You keep saying this word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Today was very difficult hiking for all but a few miles near the beginning. Lots of rocks, some steep sections, and more rocks. There was also a downpour, which thankfully came upon us in the only section of midday when we weren't rock hopping over a boulder field. But the rains of yesterday and today and the constant humidity have nonetheless made the boulders slippery and treacherous. It slows us way down. Despite an early start, we only made 14.5ish miles.
