Day 124: Yowza

Back at it.

Woke up nice and late. Well, around 8 am is late for us I guess. Jesse and Amit made coffee and bacon and eggs and we chilled out hard. Thank you soooo much to our camp mates for taking care of us. It's just incredible to be able to meet up with friends like we were able to do.

The train took us back to Pawling where we.got some amazing pizza. The owner guy was so Italian he barely spoke english. I think that means it was authentic. We begrudgingly set out to walk to the highway where we had to somehow hey.mister people at a stoplight. It worked surprisingly well and we got a ride back to the garden shop.

Then it was just a slow hike back into the woods to recover the trail we had already hiked. We only made 5 new miles today, a superhuman feat considering the day we had yesterday.

The shelter here has a tiny free library! I love these things. The book selection is strange. There are 3 copies of a book called, the loneliness of the long distance runner. I read the cover, and I don't think it has anything to do with running or runners.

Becca was just making lunch for tomorrow and pulled out her "sliced cheese" in one whole block. She said she was tired of.cutting it off blocks, but now her presliced cheese had melted all together. Appalachian fail. Lol.
