We did 17 today, and the main difference was that it cooled off. So it must be the heat and dehydration sapping us of our will to hike.
Beautiful hike too, despite detour road walk bypassing a possible bar. So we had to skip the town of Falls Village CT.
Eventually we goy back on the at just north of town where the Housatonic river was damned then goes over cool falls. The water was.kinda smelly though, so no swimming.
Today the himing had lotts and lotts of climbing, and longer climbs too. Better than the short up n downs though, as the monotony of going up brings us into a hiking zone.
When we hot to Salisbury, we had pizza and a 2 liter delivered to the corner of route 44 and cobble road right on the trail. Amazing! We needed a huge pizza.
