Day 125: Trying to catch Up

It's become hot enough that we can sleep with our rain cover off the tent and still stay pretty snug all night. I think this might be the first night we have done this. And in the morning we were rewarded with a gorgeous sunrise streaming into our tent.

Early in the morning we crossed into Connecticut. Up and down a few mountains we meandered back and forth over the NY/CT border a few times before finally leaving NY for good. NY was one of the best states for terrain and trail variation.

Though more water sources are drying up, the water has been getting steadily clearer. Carrying water and staying hydrated is still a challenge. We wanted to try a 20, yet again, but felt the need to stop by good water after 15. At least we got our 15. All this distance stuff doesn't really matter anyway, since we have no real deadlines.

We are 66.9% done!! Over 2/3!

I found a dollah! Hollah!!
