Day 133: Laundry and Rain

We only had to hike Just over 9 to get to Cheshire in order to stay at a church for free. So we were in no hurry to leave this town. Plus we really need to do laundry and the place doesn't open till 10. So we first went to the coffee house to kill time. Then walked in the pouring rain to the laundromat. Kellen doesn't have any rain gear for some reason , so he just got drenched.

Next to the laundromat was a donut shop. We 3 split a dozen and the lady threw in 2 extra for free. Donuts like whoa.

The hike to the church hostel was relatively easy. The Catholic Church in town opened their parish hall/gymnasium thing to hikers a long time ago and it remains open to us. Finally some churches earning their tax breaks, sorta.

We then ventured out for pizza but got there and the place was closed. It wasn't even the same place as in the guide so it must have closed at least twice since awol published his 2015.

We had to go further to get to the Basswater grill, which was fantastic. Really delicious and good beer too. Then came the downhills pour that was expected. It was so nice to be sitting at a bar looking at the cats and dogs falling from the sky. TV was weird though.
