Day 129: Miso and Beer

It was a very cold night last night and so we had Miso for breakfast. That was a nice change of routine. We are thinking of getting our sleeping bags back earlier than we.planned.

Gross out alert. My very caloused feet are hard amd disgusting and sometimes sharp with dead hunk of hard skin. So I got a pumice stone. The cast off of which is a white dust. Becca complained.aboit sand in our tent. In disbelief I asked where. She pointed to a dusting of white specks. I informed her that was my callous dust. We teared up in laughter about how disgusting this was and her.confusion and that was the worst alternative to sand she could think of.

The hike was half downhill off the mountain and half through swamps thick with mosquito and flies. But soon enough we got.to great Barrington ma. A young couple.offered.us a hitch out of the antique store.parking lot and brought us to price chopper on the Northside of town. There, we ate mcdonalds, which I, or rather my digestive system, immediately.regretted, and resupplied. In price chopper, two different people asked us if we needed rides back to the AT. Incredible. And they say people are.more.rude or at least less friendly in the north east. We had to turn them down because the local brewery is 5inutes walk away, where.i sit typing now. And .2 away is free camping and showers at the community center. Our night is planned.
